How to Apply

EUIP interns are college graduates who are willing to make a one-year commitment to social service, Christian community, and spiritual growth. Applicants should be between the ages of 21 and 30, hold a driver’s license and be able to offer letters of reference. They must be in good physical and mental health.

You may apply online at the Episcopal Service Corps (ESC) website. EUIP participates with fellow ESC programs in a common application. You can use this application to apply to EUIP only, or to EUIP and any of the other programs that interest you.

EUIP accepts applications on a rolling basis, beginning on January 15 and continuing until all program slots are filled. Applications will be reviewed once they are received.

Expect to hear something from EUIP staff within two weeks of submitting an application.   If you are selected for a telephone interview, EUIP staff will set that up by email.  Applicants may be accepted at any point after an application is received; there is a rolling process until all slots are filled.  Intern commitment contracts are finalized beginning in mid-May.

Note to Foreign Applicants:

We have found that it is very difficult to come to the U.S. to participate in EUIP. If you already have a visa and/or feel confident that you can immigrate here for one year with a firm promise to return home after that year, then you may want to apply. However, EUIP cannot sponsor you or assist with your visa process.
